Arrival in Kota Kinabalu

Meet your guide at the hotel lobby and begin your journey to Sutera Marina Jetty. From the jetty, enjoy a scenic 20-minute boat ride across the sea to the beautiful Tunku Abdul Rahman Park. Spend the day relaxing and exploring two islands within the marine park, where you can enjoy the clear waters, sandy beaches, and peaceful island atmosphere. After a refreshing day in paradise, depart the island at 1430hrs and return to the mainland.

Kota Kinabalu City Tour

Start your adventure with a convenient pickup from your hotel and get ready to explore the vibrant charm of Kota Kinabalu. As we cruise along the scenic coastal road of Tanjung Lipat, enjoy stunning panoramic views of Gaya Island and the sparkling waters of the South China Sea. Our first stop is the iconic Tun Mustapha Tower, one of the city’s most recognizable landmarks. From there, we continue to the breathtaking Kota Kinabalu City Mosque, often called the “Floating Mosque,” where its elegant architecture reflects beautifully over the surrounding lagoon. Next, experience a touch of serenity at the peaceful Puh Toh Tze Buddhist Temple, perched on a hill with impressive statues and sweeping views. Heading back into the heart of the city, we stop by the historic Atkinson Clock Tower, a charming reminder of Kota Kinabalu’s colonial past. Then it’s time to soak up the lively atmosphere of Gaya Street, where colorful shops and local culture come together. Along the way, treat your taste buds to a sampling of delicious local delicacies at several stops. To finish the experience on a relaxing note, enjoy a delightful coffee or tea break at a cozy local restaurant before we comfortably return you to your hotel.

Kota Kinabalu – Kinabalu Park – Poring Hot Spring

Embark on a scenic two-hour journey through the picturesque countryside of Sabah. On clear days, enjoy breathtaking views of Borneo’s iconic Mount Kinabalu from various vantage points along the way. Stop at the lively Pekan Nabalu market, where you can browse a variety of local handicrafts and souvenirs. Continue to Poring hot spring after breakfast. Upon arrival, trek up to the Canopy Walk, built at 41 metres about the ground and 157 metres length. After that, feel free to soak yourself in one of the open-air sulphur spring bathtubs. Thereafter, we proceed to Kinabalu Park a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and enjoy a guided nature walk through the Botanical Garden. The park is home to more than 4,500 species of flora and fauna, including many endemics to Borneo. Weather permitting, explore one of the park’s trails and experience the cool, refreshing montane forest. Today, you will stay overnight in Kundasang.

Kundasang – Mount Kinabalu

Start your day with an early breakfast before departing to Kinabalu Park Headquarters. Upon arrival, transfer to the trailhead at Timpohon Gate, where your climb to the summit of Mount Kinabalu begins. Embark on an exciting trek through lush mountain forest, gradually ascending toward Laban Rata Resthouse. The journey typically takes 4–6 hours, depending on your pace and fitness level. Perched at 10,700 ft (3,261 m) above sea level, Laban Rata will be your overnight stop. Here you will stay in dormitory-style accommodation with shared bathroom facilities and a restaurant.

Mount Kinabalu – Kundasang

Begin your early summit climb at 3:00am, trekking under the stars toward the peak of Mount Kinabalu. 2 m) just in time to witness the breathtaking sunrise around 6:00am. After spending some time taking photos and enjoying the spectacular views, descend back to Kinabalu Park Headquarters. Spend another night at Kundasang for a good rest.

Kundasang - Sandakan

Today, we’ll be making our way from the mountain area down to the lowlands of Sandakan. 5 hours, so sit back, relax, and enjoy the scenery along the way. We’ll be staying in the Sepilok area tonight.

Sandakan - Kinabatangan River

Pickup from your hotel and head to the Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. There, you will be treated to an enlightening video presentation about the conservation efforts carried out at the centre. Enjoy a ten-minute walk through the rainforest and witness the feeding of the orangutans at the feeding platform before observing them at the outdoor nursery. After that, visit the Sun Bear Conservation Centre next door to learn more about the smallest bears in the world. After lunch, depart for an estimated 2 hours overland journey to Sukau Village. Enjoy an evening river cruise in search of Borneo's wildlife and birds.

Kinabatangan River

Wake up as early as 0600hrs for the morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast. In the afternoon, proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife. Overnight in Sukau.

Kinabatangan River – Sandakan

Return to Sandakan by land. After lunch, we will drop you off at our hotel in the city area.

Sandakan - Lankayan Island

Depart from your hotel and travel to Lankayan Jetty. From here, take a 1.5-hour boat ride across the Sulu Sea to the beautiful Lankayan Island. Once you arrive, the rest of the day is yours to enjoy. Relax on the soft sandy beach, soak in the peaceful island atmosphere, or dive into the crystal-clear waters for some snorkelling and discover the vibrant marine life surrounding the island.

Departure

Today, we will leave the island behind as we make our way back to the mainland and subsequently the transfer to Sandakan Airport to catch your flight home. Thank you for visiting us and have a nice flight home!
