Welcome to Sandakan, the gateway to some of Borneo’s most remarkable wildlife experiences. This city is a home to the world-famous Sepilok Orang Utan Centre. From here, journey into one of Southeast Asia’s premier wildlife destinations—the Kinabatangan River, often called the “Mini Amazon.” This is a great opportunity to see wildlife in their natural habitat.
Tour Itinerary

You will be greeted by our guide upon arrival who will then transfer you to your hotel.

Pickup from your hotel. Head to the jetty for a 40 minutes speedboat to Selingan Island. Registration to the park headquarters upon arrival and check-in. Lunch at 12:00, after that, you are free to for the afternoon to swim, snorkel or wander around the island.
After dinner, we will wait for call from the park ranger for turtle watching at the beach. You will see the collection process as well as the planting of eggs in the hatchery. Overnight in Twin-Share room.
Scheduled experience
After an early breakfast, board the boat for the transfer back to Sandakan. Head to Sepilok Orang Utan Rehabilitation Centre. There, you'll be treated to an enlightening video show about the conservation efforts done at the centre. Enjoy a ten-minute walk in the midst of the rainforest and witness the feeding of orangutans at the feeding platform before observing them over at the outdoor nursery. After, head to the Sun Bear Conservation Centre next door after to learn more about the smallest bears in the world.
After lunch, depart for an estimated 2 hours overland journey to Sukau Village. Enjoy an evening river cruise in search of Borneo's wildlife and birds.

Wake up as early as 0600hrs for the morning river cruise up the Kinabatangan River to Kelenanap oxbow lake to view more birds and wildlife. Return to the lodge for breakfast. In the afternoon, proceed for another river cruise for more wildlife.
Overnight in Sukau.
Scheduled experience
Return to Sandakan by land. After lunch, we will drop you off at Sandakan Airport to catch your flight to your next destination.
